North Dakota Senator John Hoeven and ranking members of the Senate Agriculture Committee met with Taiwan’s Council of Agriculture deputy minister to discuss agriculture and trade relations. The two parties signed letters of intent for Taiwan to purchase $3.2 billion worth of U.S. ag products. South Korea was the first stop on the trip where Hoeven also reinforced the importance of agricultural trade.
