Up-to-date soil testing data is needed to make the most of the fertilizer plan. Agvise Laboratories soil scientist John Breker says a lot of farmers did the majority of their soil testing last fall. “Even though it was dry, nitrate levels were close to normal.” With a delayed spring season, it is important to get soil testing done as soon as possible. Breker said handheld probes are the best option for soil testing wet fields.
