Japan will now allow US ethanol to successful access 100 percent of the Japanese biofuel market. This is an increase from the previous 66 percent access that was assessed in 2021 and is based on continued improvement in reduction of carbon emissions by the US ethanol industry. Renewable Fuels Association President Geoff Cooper and Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor applaud the Japanese government for joining other countries in recognizing the role ethanol can play in the global effort to address climate change.
