Spring wheat acres will be a question mark as cold weather limits the spring snowmelt. North Dakota Wheat Commission Policy and Marketing Director Jim Peterson is concerned about a late start. “A lot of guys like to get their spring wheat in early just to get it flowering and heading out before the heat of summer. It’s a cool season crop so the earlier you can get it in the better.” Lower prices have also been moving against spring wheat acres.
