USDA says farmers intend to plant 92 million acres of corn this spring, about one million more than the February Ag Outlook Forum estimate and the average trade estimate. Soybean acreage is slightly less than the average trade estimate but equal to the Outlook Forum number at 87.5 million acres. The all-wheat acres are slightly above the average trade estimate at 946 million acres. USDA estimates spring wheat acres at 10.8 million.
