Multiple farm groups were in St. Paul during National Agriculture Week to educate lawmakers. “We have a lot of new representatives and senators at the Capitol so it’s a good time for us to meet them and build a relationship,” said Austin Germolus, a board member with the Minnesota Association of Wheat Growers. The Ada farmer said it was difficult to focus on just a few priorities for this session. “I don’t even know where to begin. We have some key issues like the paid family medical leave bill that will affect rural families.”
