The United States is taking steps to resolve the trade dispute over biotech corn exports to Mexico. Leaders from both countries will participate in formal discussions. If that doesn’t resolve the standoff, the U.S. will file a dispute settlement under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. This action is in response to Mexico’s proposed ban on biotech corn for human food production. Mexico has also left the door open for a ban for feed usage.
