Agricultural education programs in Minnesota have expanded in recent years with many new chapters chartered. AgCentric Executive Director Keith Olander says he expects to see that trend continue. “There’s really become a renewed curiosity and appeal in where our food comes from, how we produce food and how that intertwines with the environment.” There has also been a demographic shift. Olander says FFA students with no ag background are more common than those who come from the farm today. Listen to this report.
