Traders continue to watch harvest and second crop corn planting progress in Brazil. Loewen and Associates market analyst Matt Hines says the pace continues to lag. “They’re around 25-30 percent complete right now, but typically this time of year they’re ahead of that. That also means the second corn crop is behind. It’s probably 40 percent complete.”
