Mexico will continue to ban GMO corn imports for human consumption, but allow GMO corn for feed and fuel use. Van Ahn and Company market analyst Steve Witt wonders how this recent position is any different from the previous proposal. “They said they would look to South America to fill their non-GM corn needs, but South America said ‘sorry, we grow the same thing as the U.S.’ so I just don’t know their end game.”
