North Dakota Grain Dealers Association Executive Vice President Stu Letcher says the industry has seen consolidation and facility closures in the past five years. “Membership is smaller but bigger, if that makes sense,” said Letcher. “A smaller number but larger firms. With the labor market, one of the other trends we’re seeing is the more labor-intensive facilities may be being phased out.” The NDGDA Annual Meeting is underway through tomorrow in Fargo.
