Nearly 20 farm groups are pushing for the governments from the U.S., Canada and Mexico to strengthen North American trade in agricultural products. On top of the North American Leaders Summit in Mexico City, this farm groups also asked for a solution to trade barriers, such as Mexico’s proposed ban on biotech corn imports. This diverse coalition included Farm Bureau, the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture and corn, dairy, oilseed and pork commodity groups.
