The American Coalition for Ethanol won’t shy away from talking about climate change according to ACE CEO Brian Jennings. “We want to make it clear to policy makers on the state, national, and globally that corn ethanol is part of the climate solution.” said Jennings. According to Jennings, about 50 percent of ethanol’s climate footprint comes from how corn is grown with the other 50 percent coming from ethanol plants themselves. “We’re working on driving down carbon intensity and are poised to become a net zero or even net negative greenhouse gas fuel.” ACE is working hard to promote their efforts while looking for E15 and E85 policy advancements in the new farm bill.
