AgResource Company President Dan Basse says grain traders are watching the winter storm impacting the Midwest. “It sure helps with the moisture situation next year. The market didn’t pay a lot of attention to the weather, but nonetheless I think it’ll put a wet blanket on new crop corn and soybeans.” Traders will also be watching the results of this week’s Federal Reserve meeting. “We’ve got the all-important Consumer Price Index number and the interest rate hikes that the markets are watching closely.”
