This is the time of the year for budgeting and preparing for the upcoming growing season. UPL Strategic Marketing Manager James Coday also sees this as an important time to evaluate the weed control strategy. “When we think about weed control and resistance management, the preemergence side of it is extremely important, taking an extra moment to really consider that pre and what that early-post looks like is important.” Supply chain logistics has forced farmers to make earlier buying decisions, but Coday says it goes beyond that. “Over the past several years, it feels like growers have been planning more versus being reactive in-season. That’s the right direction, especially when budgets are tight to make sure that they get the right products in the barn.”
