Aberdeen Livestock owner Kevin Larson says weather has played a big role in the feeder cattle market. The heavier cattle are at the mercy of the packers, but the lighter calves will be strong. “We’ ll see $10-to-$15 dollars a hundred on these feeder cattle, but it might take some time.” Larson says the market is flooded with cull cows right now. “The cow liquidation is insane. I’d say cows are $5-to-$7 lower than last month because of how many culls are coming through the market.”
