State Senator Terry Wanzek admits it will be a long road, but hopes to see a fertilizer plant built in North Dakota. “We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but there’s been a lot of discussion and there’s one particular company that’s very interested,” said Wanzek. “As a farmer who’s concern about price fluctuations and availability, it’s very exciting.” Wanzek, who farms near Jamestown, said having a fertilizer plant in the state wouldn’t necessarily lower prices, but it could stabilize supplies.
