A large percentage of the seed has been already booked for the 2023 growing season. Pioneer Soybean Marketing Lead Don Gehrls says most of the early interest is in corn. “I’ve been hearing a little more momentum around corn than soybeans.” Soybean seed purchases can happen much later, and in some cases, be an in-season decision. “There’s been unique supply challenges that have happened in corn the last couple years, not just with us, but also with other companies so I think the farmers are locking that in,” said Gehrls. “We have a lot of supply for soybeans and a lot of options.”
