For the upcoming biennium, Minnesota will have a record budget surplus of $17.6 billion. “The golden opportunity that we have to make Minnesota an even better and fairer and more inclusive and more prosperous state is there,” said Governor Tim Walz. Walz will release his budget proposal in late January.
