Heavy rain is in the forecast across the Tennessee River Basin and northern Delta region tonight through Thursday. World Weather Incorporated says additional rain is expected this weekend and early next week. The persistent rains should temporarily ease the record low-water levels on the Mississippi River. It won’t be enough to end the shipping problems, but it is positive news.
