The Amplifying Processing of Livestock in the United States Act is designed to fix regulatory roadblocks for increasing meat processing capacity. “It would allow localized livestock auction markets to own or invest in a small-medium packing facility,” said Chelsea Good, vice president of government and industry affairs, Livestock Marketing Association.
