Tough broadleaves, like waterhemp, have changed the way farmers manage weeds. BASF District Sales Manager Ken Diebert looks at a layered approach. “In North Dakota and northern Minnesota, I would say that has become the favorite way to apply these Group 15 chemistries.” There is optimism about new traits that are in the pipeline. “We can’t wait for those traits to get here, but we have some time where we need to use the important tools we have right now; it is important to get that residual chemistry to control things like waterhemp.”
