A federal appeals court has ordered the Environmental Protection Agency to consider the impact of a systemic insecticide known as cyantraniliprole. The ruling requires EPA to put protective measures in place by September of next year. This insecticide is used in potatoes, sunflowers, canola and vegetable crops. The Center for Food Safety and the Center for Biological Diversity filed the lawsuit eight years ago.
