Regulatory issues dominated the resolutions process. “We just had a referendum in Sioux Falls that would have prohibited any more packing plants within the city. The one proposed met all the zoning regulations and did everything required, if the vote would have passed, it would have superceded all of that and our members don’t think that’s appropriate.” SDFB delegates did not take a position on the proposed carbon pipeline, but took a cautious approach to the use of imminent domain.
