China has been an active buyer of soybeans the past couple of days. Martinson Ag Risk Management President Randy Martinson suspects China is buying ahead of relaxing COVID restrictions. “They need to get some product. I think they’re trying to get product in and get their supply chain built back out.” China has been notorious for buying grain and then cancelling orders. “We are seeing their hog herd increasing a little bit, and if they relax their COVID restrictions, it’s going to bring a lot of demand in, and I think they’re trying to prepare for that.”
