The United Nations and Turkey are taking steps to rescue the humanitarian grain deal. Russia suspended its involvement in this arrangement over the weekend. Meanwhile, the UN says it will continue to inspect ships even if Russia is not participating. A dozen ships left the Ukrainian ports Monday and Russia did nothing to block their movement. More than 100 vessels are still awaiting inspection and it is unclear if the UN will be able to deal with that backlog.
