Showers graced parts of North Dakota on Sunday night. Burleigh County, North Dakota farmer Clark Coleman says the rain slowed down harvest. “We’re jumping back and forth between harvesting sunflowers and corn. We got about a half an inch of rain, so we’re stopped for a day or two. I’m not complaining though because we need the rain.” Coleman says there’s a lot of producers put sunflowers in the ground this year. “Number of acres of sunflowers are way up in our area. I see more sunflowers than I have in a long, long time. The crop is tremendous; yields and quality has been really good.”
