Bower Trading Market Analyst Ben Kasch is closely watching transportation challenges. “One of the major issues is that we hadn’t had enough rain. The grain flow out of the U.S. is a concern. We’re also dealing with another rail strike and shutdown. The short term deal they struck to extend it lasts just until November 19, so negotiations are still ongoing.” Kasch says there are other concerns pressuring the grains. “The weakness also has to do with the dollar. It was definitely a risk-off day.”
