Rural Investment to Protect our Environment is a nonproft group developing a program that would pay farmers equitable payments above the cost of implementing the conservation practice. RIPE has expanded its board. New board members include Alana Petersen of Petersen Group/Canary Consulting, who worked on the staff of Minnesota Senators Tina Smith and Al Franken. Another new board member is Bill Beam, who was the deputy administrator for farm programs at USDA from 2018-2021.
