In the dryland spring wheat competition, Matthew Krueger of East Grand Forks received second place and New England, North Dakota farmer Jon Wert was third. Jordan Christman of Hettinger had the highest yield percentage increase over the county average. Doug and Janelle Fitterer of New England, North Dakota had the highest percentage yield over the county average for dryland winter wheat.
