A recent farmland sale in Iowa set a new record for the Corn Belt. In Plymouth County, Iowa, farmland sold for $26,250 per acre. The sale included 55 acres of high-quality farmland, which put the total bill at $1.44 million. Farmland prices in Iowa are up across the board. The Realtors Land Institute says the value of high-quality cropland is up $14,472 per acre, almost 17 percent from September of 2021.
