While the U.S. is harvesting, Brazilian farmers are starting to plant a crop. Brazilian crop agency CONAB is forecasting Brazil’s 2022/23 soybean crop at a record 152.4 million metric tons. Last year’s soybean crop in Brazil was the second largest ever at 125.5 million metric tons despite the drought. Brazil’s corn crop is forecast at 126.9 million tons, also a record if realized.
