The wet start to the growing season in the Minot area did more harm than good. “We had a lot of drown-outs,” reports Chad Rubbelke. On the flip side, a lack of moisture limited yield potential for Rubbelke’s soybeans. “We had a drying out period at the end of July and through August. We were really hoping for a shot at good yields, but the soybeans just didn’t turn out.”
