Northern Canola Growers Association Executive Director Barry Coleman says the harvest results vary. “We continue to hear both terrific yields and some areas of concern. Southwest North Dakota has generally disappointing yields, Kenmare through Minot had terrific yields.” The dry weather this summer has affected more than just the U.S. crop. “In Canada, we’re hearing lower-than-expected yields,” said Coleman. “Earlier this summer they were talking about a 20 million ton crop and now they’re estimating around 18.5 million tons.”
