Advance Trading Risk Management Advisor Tommy Grisafi said farmers seem to be reluctant to protect themselves by pricing the 2023 crop. “The price you’re getting now is much higher than the price you’ll get in a year so it tricks you into thinking that the 2023 price isn’t that great of a price,” explained Grisafi. “If history repeats itself, you’ll look back and say you should’ve gotten more aggressively sold, but we’ll see. There’s never been a time like this and we’re living day by day as the news events unfold.” Grisafi is featured in the latest edition of ‘the Bull Pen.’ This is a monthly look at the markets and can be found on the Red River Farm Network YouTube channel.
