Eden Valley, Minnesota farmer Tom Haag has taken over the presidency of the National Corn Growers Association. Haag says there is unfinished business with the farm bill and ethanol. In a press conference, Haag also addressed the U.S. challenging Mexico’s import ban on corn. “The ban started out with only food-grade corn. As we get deeper into this, it gets tougher, because it might ban GMO corn going into livestock feed.” According to the USTR, Mexico is not living up to the terms of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. “If this is what Mexico signed in the agreement, we would have every right to push USTR for a lawsuit.”
