North Dakota Soybean Growers Association Executive Director Nancy Johnson says there are barriers to overcome to help pique the interest of hog production in the state. Wednesday’s conference in Fargo focused on ways to overcome those hurdles. “There have been groundbreakings at two very large soy crush facilities in North Dakota. Those facilities will create enough high quality soybean meal to feed millions of hogs.” Lenders were part of the Wednesday meeting. “We certainly have an amazing opportunity for expansion and that’s an economic development opportunity for North Dakota.”
