StoneX Group Chief Commodities Economist Arlan Suderman says the big question is what’s going to happen in South America moving forward. “How does Brazil’s weather play out for corn and soybeans? With the cuts we’re seeing in the United States, Brazil’s weather will be critical with a third La Nina year unfolding for the growing season. Correlations between La Nina and Brazil weather aren’t strong. They can sometimes have significant weather problems and good crops.”
