Progressive Ag Marketing market analyst Tom Lilja reminds growers to be keeping a close eye on basis levels this fall. “Last year, Canada had a drought. Now, southeastern South Dakota will have a lower yield. For the corn producers in the region, there will be a basis play. We’ll have a lot of power having corn in the bin and there are good basis opportunities through the winter and spring.”
