The North Dakota Department of Agriculture has awarded over $3 million in specialty crop block grants. Twenty-one projects are being funded. That list includes $323,000 for the National Agricultural Genotyping Center to increase the availability of genotyping in chickpea and field peas. There’s also $308,000 for the North Dakota Trade Office to expand specialty crop exports.
