Potato growers had a chance to look at new varieties and research this past week. NDSU Extension potato breeder Susie Thompson highlighted her research at the Northern Plains Potato Growers Association field day. “I talked about some of the Russet’s that will be used in potential processing varieties. We also talked about Dakota Russet which was approved for McDonald’s processing.” Red and yellow potatoes were also showcased on the tour.
