The Farm Service Agency has created an appeal process for farmers challenged by the Emergency Relief Program’s adjusted gross income calculation. The calculations prevented some farmers from fully recovering eligible losses due to payment limits. “This is very good news for those farmers who had issues in the ERP with prevent plant information or adjusted gross income,” said North Dakota Senator John Hoeven. “Both issues are fixed.” More than 18,000 farmers will receive new or updated pre-filled disaster applications to offset eligible losses. FSA already distributed $6.4 billion through ERP.
