Montana is just starting Canola harvest. Northern Canola Growers Association Executive Director Barry Colemans says harvest for North Dakota is still a few weeks out. “We don’t expect Canola to be ready until mid-to late august. The majority will be done in September. Montana is ahead of things. They have 11 percent harvested. Flea beetles have been a problem for the canola crop. “It’s kind of strange, because beetle pressure is so varying from field to field. But overall, flea beetle pressure has been very high.
