Portland, North Dakota farmer Ross Thykeson is wrapping up winter wheat harvest. Harvest started the final week of July. “It’s a nice crop; iIt flowered before we got this heat,” said Thykeson. “I wish we had more winter wheat.” The majority of Thykeson’s winter wheat is going for seed production.
