Fairness for Farmers Comes to Farmfest

The National Farmers Union Fairness for Farmers campaign calls for reform of the Packers and Stockyards Act, improving price discovery, diversifying marketing opportunities and antitrust enforcement. NFU Vice President of Advocacy Mike Stranz applauded the Minnesota Farmers Union for its support of the campaign. “MFU is using Farmfest to unveil the Trust Buster. It is a side-by-side utility vehicle decked out in a wrap about Fairness for Farmers. It’s talking about how farmers receive about 16 percent of all the money spent on food at the grocery store (and) how there is very little competition in ag markets.”
