The Xitavo seed brand has been in existence for just two years and is expected to surpass one million acres in production next year. BASF Northern Region Agronomy Lead Marc Hoobler says a new soybean cyst nematode resistance trait is being developed. “It’s an agreement that BASF has in place with MS Technologies and Corteva Agriscience. It’s BASF’s trait, but we are going to introduce it into Enlist E3 soybeans.” BASF is also working on a hybrid wheat. “We would expect later on this decade to have commercial variety or commercial hybrids available in the Ideltis brand.” Hoobler spoke at the BASF field day at Emerado.
