It’s been an active storm season in North Dakota. A storm moved through the Ashely area Thursday bringing high winds and hail. Mark Rohrich says it wasn’t large hail, but the duration made it a challenge. “It’s one of those five minutes of hail where it seems like it’s an eternity.” Rohrich estimates about 75 percent of the corn is defoliated. The soybeans look better from the road and there may be time to recover. Another storm system moved through this weekend. “More hail and rain came on Saturday. It was a bit of a double whammy.” Photo credit: Mark Rohrich
