Pete Burgard farms at Towner, North Dakota and is the senior vice president of Merchants Bank in Rugby. Burgard told RRFN the crop looks “awesome.” The region received over ten inches of rain last fall and additional moisture this spring. Crop and pasture conditions are dramatically different than last year. “It is a complete turnaround from last year; attitudes are a lot better this year.” RRFN joined KZZJ-Rugby for a live broadcast at Merchants Bank Wednesday. The family-owned bank is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
