The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency released the draft Environmental Assessment Worksheet for the proposed Epitome Energy soybean processing plant in Crookston, Minnesota. The project impacts two wetlands on the site, but no public surface waters are near. The assessment says the facility will require an air permit to make sure emissions comply with the Clean Air Act. A public comment period is open. The MPCA will host a virtual public information meeting the evening of Thursday, August 4. If there is no need for additional environmental reviews after the comment period is closed, the project can move onto the permitting process. Photo credit: MPCA website
