Hotter and drier conditions are in the forecast for the Northern Plains this week. DTN Ag Meteorologist John Baranick says these conditions will be a trend for the rest of July through August. “Not only during pollination, but also during grain fill. The ridge looking out over the plains won’t be stuck there the rest of the summer, but it’s driving the storm trek further north into Canada. This will only produce isolated showers and thunderstorms, but many areas are expected to miss out.”
